Software will automatically calculate and handle pay scales at a site
The basic salary of councillors has increased in 14 of Wales’ 22 local authorities this year. At the other eight councils, members’ basic pay will be cut. There has also been a change to council leaders and other post holders’ pay. The leaders of the three biggest councils (Cardiff, Rhondda Cynon Taf and Swansea) will earn £52,700. Smaller councils will pay £47,500 or £42,300. The Independent Remuneration Panel for Wales used new powers to tell councils what to pay their members.
Time and Attendance Wales can install software that will automatically calculate and handle pay scales at your site no matter what shift employees do. Workers paid on an annual contract basis can be handled by the annualised hours procedures and reports within the WinTA system. A number of basic rules control how hours are calculated. These include settings to separate ‘worked time’ into: different overtime rates, to handle night shift working and to insert unpaid breaks if employees do not clock them.
