Portable water treatment provider to create 60 new jobs following expansion

A provider or portable water treatment services has revealed plans to create more than 60 new jobs after securing backing from the Welsh Government, a news report in the local business media has been able to suggest. 

Siltbuster has outgrown its current facilities at Unipure House and is to construct a purpose-designed 21,500 sq ft headquarters with offices, workshop, warehousing and storage yard on a ten-acre site nearby.

The business currently employs 48 staff with all of its products designed in Monmouth and supported up by an in-house laboratory and site support engineers.

It will more than double staff numbers by creating 66 skilled jobs and expects to double turnover by 2020. It is also targeting continued expansion into new territories and growth of its industrial and recycling businesses, SPS and Gritbuster.

The £1.15m funding package was backed by the Welsh Government and Finance Wales.

Richard Coulton, Siltbsuter founder and chief executive, added: "It’s amazing to think that not long ago we had just one product for one specific application. Over the past 17 years we have grown to have over 50 different products treating anything from radioactive particles to baked beans."
