Plans put forward for new £40.5M Innovation and Enterprise Campus in Aberystwyth
Plans for building a new £40.5m Innovation and Enterprise Campus in Aberystwyth have been submitted to local planning authorities, a recent news report in the local media has been able to suggest.
Based on Aberystwyth University’s Gogerddan campus, the development will feature a bio-refining centre, future food centre, analytical science laboratories and a seed processing and biobank facility.
A full planning application has now been lodged with Ceredigion County Council following a public consultation period to hear views on the proposed improvements to the existing Gogerddan campus on the outskirts of Aberystwyth.
A decision on the application is expected in spring 2017. If planning permission is granted, construction is proposed to start mid-2017 and is expected to take two years to complete.
