Plans for major Swansea city centre redevelopment take “major step forward”
The regeneration of Swansea city centre is on the right track after a work plan was agreed that will lead to development briefs for several key sites in 2015, a recent news report in the local business media was able to reveal.
The first meeting of the Swansea Development Advisory Group discussed a wide range of ideas on how Swansea city centre can best meet the needs of 21st century residents, shoppers and workers.
Councillor Rob Stewart, Swansea council leader, said a vibrant city centre which is easy to get to and "combines a top quality retail offer with leisure, office space, culture, nightlife and urban living" is "vital for the economic wellbeing of Swansea and the Swansea Bay City Region as a whole".
"It’s one of our top priorities and progress is already being made," said Stewart.
