New jobs to be created at Merthyr Tydfil plant
Several new jobs are to be created at a Merthyr Tydfil-based cargo control systems’ manufacturer after securing the necessary funding from the Wales Economic Growth Fund, a recent news report on the matter was able to reveal.
The Welsh facility is the main manufacturing operation for the Netherlands-headquartered Load-Lok Manufacturing group and the £210,000 in funding supplied by the Wales Government helped the company create 10 new jobs, while also securing a further 12.
The funding is part of a £624,000 investment programme at Load-Lok, which includes a new production facility and upgrades to its existing plant.
Julie Lewis, Load-Lok’s business and finance director, added: "This is an important investment in Merthyr which will increase our production capacity, speed up the manufacturing process and bring new work to the site. It means we will be able to offer a more efficient and cost effective service.
"Support from the Welsh government towards this expansion is vital and we look forward to creating new jobs in the area."
