Multiple jobs to be created in Flint factory following investment
Multiple new jobs are set to be created at a factory in Flint after its owner invested in a new production line on the premises, a news source can reveal.
Kimberly-Clark has invested £23m in a new production line at its Flint facility, where it makes Huggies baby wipes. The new production line is accommodated in a 28,400 sq ft extension and provides additional capacity to support entry into new markets as well as meeting predicted growth, particularly from the Middle East and Africa.
The 96-acre Flint site is home to two Kimberly-Clark production facilities employing 209 staff and manufacturers Huggies baby wipes.
The project was backed by £160,000 business finance from the Welsh Government and has created creates 35 jobs.
Graham Tongue, Kimberly-Clark site manager for Flint Mill, said: "We are delighted that our new Huggies wet wipes facility has given us the opportunity to attract new talent to Flint, complementing our existing highly-skilled and experienced team."
