The four schemes involve the demolition and redevelopment of a number of well-known buildings, including former education establishments and a fire-damaged bingo hall.

 

Locations earmarked for redevelopment include The Old College Building in Splott, which will make way for a development of 30 flats, as well as the former Riva Bingo site in Adamstown, which was hit by a fire in 2015.

 

Another location is that of the former Cardiff Sixth Form College building in Roath, where a residential developer is proposing the construction of 48 flats in an L-shaped block of up to four-and-a-half stories in height. Finally, a 32-apartment scheme is proposed on a site off Newport Road in Rumney. The vacant former tool hire premises on the land would be demolished to make way for the new housing.
