Medical tech company to create 67 new jobs in Flintshire


Medical technology company ConvaTec has revealed plans to create 67 new jobs at its global manufacturing centre in Deeside as part of a £3.7m investment supported by the Welsh Government, a news report in the local media has revealed.

The company, which employs 600 at three sites in Wales, is investing £3.7m in an expansion of its Deeside operation. This will bring a new product manufacturing line for the firm’s innovative Aquacel Foam dressings range to Wales, while a second project will establish a new shared services centre in Deeside providing accounting and finance support to the ConvaTec network.

Beside creating several new jobs, this expansion will also safeguard 16 existing positions.
