Jobs in the pipeline as TV company set to open new Cardiff production centre

Multiple new jobs are set to be created as an Australian TV company has chosen Cardiff for its new European production centre, a business news report has been able to suggest recently.

The company, Flame Media Group, which has its headquarters and production centre in Sydney, produces, acquires and sells factual, entertainment, documentary and life-style programmes for broadcast.

The company represents 100 international producers with 2,500 hours of content on sale to markets across the world.

It will now invest and expand its Cardiff operations after securing business finance from the Welsh Government. 

The new entity, Wildflame Productions, will create more than 20 skilled full-time posts and will support up to 200 freelance jobs.

Flame Group managing director John Caldon said: "We are an internationally focused company and this is an exciting development that will help us expand and reach new markets. We have a genuine passion to discover and develop the new generation of broadcast talent in Wales.
