Jobs Growth Wales Programme drives significant job growth
Close to 5,000 Welsh companies have hired young people over the past two years after taking part in the government’s EU-backed Jobs Growth Wales Programme, a news report in the local business media was able to reveal.
Official figures suggest that more than 3,000 microbusinesses and 1,412 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) participated in the scheme, with more than 300 people starting their own companies using the programme’s Young Entrepreneurs Bursary.
"These figures are clear evidence of just how much our businesses value Jobs Growth Wales," said Ken Skates, deputy minister for skills and technology.
"Microbusinesses and SMEs, in particular, may not always be in a position to take on extra staff but this is where a programme like Jobs Growth Wales really comes into its own – it’s a catalyst for growth."
Investing in a system designed to help streamline workforce and skill management across an organization is certainly a must for all companies looking to develop in a very solid and sustainable manner.
