Insurance company to recruit 400 more staff over the next three years

One of the UK’s largest insurance companies has revealed plans to hire more than 400 members of staff over the next three to four years at its Cardiff head office, a news report in the local business media can reveal.

The company has moved 2,500 staff to the Ty Admiral site in David Street, mostly from its former base at Capital Tower in Cardiff. Further employees still have to move in to the site, which has space for a maximum of 3,000 workers.

Chief operating officer David Stevens said the company had space for between 300 and 400 additional staff at Ty Admiral.

He said sales of home insurance policies had grown rapidly over the past 12 months, and further demand would probably lead to an increase in the number of staff at Ty Admiral.

Admiral also has an office in Newport, which it opened last year, and three offices in Swansea.
