Group holiday planner displays whole year of workplace absences at a time

A nurse from Anglesey took 69 days of sick leave in three years, a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) panel sitting in Cardiff heard. The head of North Wales Police’s medical services division, Ch Insp Robert Adams told the panel that during a meeting with Anna Hulse in June 2008 to discuss her absenteeism she broke down. Ch Insp Adams, now retired, reported: “I said, ‘What is the matter, what has happened?’, and she said, ‘I have throat cancer’.”
