The Bridgend site has already been on a scheduled two-week Easter shutdown and is both a manufacturing plant for overseas products and a customer service centre for the repair of faulty goods at Sony. Dr Martin Rhisiart, of the University of Glamorgan’s business school, said of the jobs outlook at the Pencoed plant: “We’re not sure yet because these details are still emerging.”
