Contactless smart cards allow employees to clock in and out extremely quickly
Conwy council is one of many to say its payroll system means it has to make deductions in January of a day’s pay from workers who walked out last month. Neath Port Talbot council confirmed its policy was to make pay deductions for strike action as early as possible but this would not happen in December because of logistics reasons with such a tight Christmas payroll deadline. Gwynedd council said it would not comment until staff had been told.
Time & Attendance Wales attendance and payroll systems are based on contactless smart card technology, allowing your employees to clock in and out extremely quickly. Each smart card reader transmits a 125 KHz frequency field (the electromagnetic field), which is picked up by an aerial in the contactless smart card. The reader has two read bands within this field; an inner and outer band, and these are controlled and rapidly oscillated by the readers on-board microprocessor. Adhesive labels are available for a photo and company logo.
