Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) to invest heavily on construction training across Wales

The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) is to invest £5m towards construction training in Wales, ensuring that the industry has access to quality training to meet demand locally, a recent news report in the local business media has been able to reveal.

The priority is to ensure that the right construction training is available at the right time and in the right place across Wales, to meet the priorities set by employers.

The new arrangements are expected to be operational by September 2017, with CITB providing set-up funding of up to £3m to support the development of construction training facilities, while an additional investment of up to £2m will then be made for training delivery.
