Clinical research group to hire 90 new staff members following expansion

An American clinical research organisation has revealed plans to create 90 new jobs in Swansea after receiving funding from the Welsh Government, a recent news report in the local media has been able to reveal.

The North Carolina-headquartered PRA Health Sciences will expand its clinical informatics capacity and create 87 graduate level jobs, bringing staff numbers at Swansea to 280 by December 2017.

The company’s previous expansion, backed by a £1.29m grant from the Welsh Government, created more than 100 jobs in the city.

Paul Bunch, PRA executive vice president, said: "We continue to be impressed by the large number of high quality graduates from Welsh universities and the calibre of well-qualified local people who have applied for the newly created positions.

"These new hires have added tremendous value to our organization and to the success of our operation in Swansea."
