Cardiff car insurance recruitment drive
Rostella, a Cardiff-based car insurance company, has launched a wide-ranging recruitment drive in order to support Hedgehog, a new online motor insurance provider.
Hedgehog will focus on 50,000 drivers aged 21-40 who for a variety of reasons have difficulty finding affordable insurance premiums (such as having license points or a blacklisted postcode). It has an exclusive underwriting agreement with insurance giant Berkshire Hathaway International Insurance.
There are 50 vacancies available across customer service, underwriting, data scientists and claims managers.
The online insurer will be run by director Nigel Lombard, who has 25 years’ experience in car insurance, e-commerce and operations.
Nigel said:
“Working at Rostella offers data scientists, underwriters, web analysts, claims handlers and customer service advisors the chance to make their mark at a dynamic start-up, with the added security of the backing from our private owners and long-term commitment from our capacity providers at Berkshire Hathaway.”
______________
An influx of new staff is the perfect opportunity to check whether or not your time and attendance system is as efficient as it should be.
Many companies are still using paper timesheets to record their employees’ hours and calculate their weekly or monthly payslips. This is particularly the case for industries such as customer service, hospitality and healthcare.
An increase of 50 employees, all using paper timesheets, will put a lot of strain on the staff who have to process them. Whether it is the managers who need to check and approve them all or the payroll staff who need to type out 50 handwritten sheets into Excel, they will struggle with the sudden addition to their workload.
Our time and attendance system records in real time everyone’s entrance and exit from controlled doors, using either smartcards or the more expensive but more secure biometric measurements of hands or fingerprints. This removes the need for managers to double-check hours.
All the entrance/exit data from our system is exportable into a format suitable for all major payroll programmes. This means that payroll staff no longer need to waste time painstakingly typing out the handwritten forms.
