2’nd phase of Milford Haven £70m redevelopment set to start
New employee management systems and smart card access control products are likely to be planned as the second phase of the £70m redevelopment of Milford Dock has started. The project is expected to result in new fish processing units, offices and facilities in Milford Haven.
The project is backed by the European Fisheries Fund through the Welsh Government and is expected to create jobs and strengthen economic ties between the town and the fishing industries, a recent news report in the local media was able to reveal.
Jeff Teague from the Port of Milford Haven, who is overseeing the project, said: "It’s very exciting to see something that has been a long time in planning finally get underway.
"Few people realise how vibrant Wales’ biggest fishing port actually is. We want to make the industry more visible and ensure it creates greater benefits for local businesses. Just as importantly we want to make sure everyone can get a taste of what is landed here, if they want it."
