A Flintshire-based national retailer claims its staff have been given an inflation-beating pay increase. Deeside based firm Iceland Foods was named the sixth best big company to work for in the UK in the annual Sunday Times Best Companies survey of 2011.
Plans for shops and a restaurant in Welshpool are expected to generate more than 100 jobs. The 180-seat restaurant will create 50 jobs; and three shops new, costing about £2.5 million, are expected to generate 75 jobs.
