Soaring sales lead to recruitment drive at Mid Wales – based manufacturer
A variable frequency drive (VFD) manufacturer based in Mid Wales is going on a recruitment drive following a significant growth in sales numbers attained throughout 2020, a recent news report in the local media has been able to suggest.
Invertek Drives currently has a 200-strong team at its headquarters in Welshpool but is planning to take on more staff in the near future.
Rhydian Welson of Invertek said: “2020 was a remarkable year for us. Despite the global challenges, demand for our Optidrive VFDs rose throughout the year. Already in 2021, we have surpassed previous records set in our 22-year history.
“Throughout this we have fulfilled all customer orders, including those via our two-day express service. We’ve demonstrated how our approach to holding a strategic stock of components used in production ensures our ability to maintain production no matter what the global conditions are.”
Welson added: “We’re currently undertaking a recruitment drive as part of our ongoing investment and expansion in all parts of the business. Production has continually increased and we’re looking to add production operatives to our dedicated team.”
Time and Attendance Wales – Your Workforce Management Experts
Additional workforce is a sign of success and growth for all businesses, but it can cause problems for HR, accounts and admin job tasks if not managed properly. For example, if your company still uses paper timesheets filled in weekly or monthly to work out attendance and wages, a sudden influx of more staff can add hours to a workload.
A workforce management system from Time and Attendance South West would bring your attendance systems up to date and reduce workloads considerably.
For example, managers would no longer need to approve every single timesheet every single week or month, and accounts staff would no longer need to laboriously type up the timesheets to enter them into the payroll system.
All the staff would need to do is clock in and out using one of our terminals, with either a smartcard or a biometric measurement (fingers or hands). This data is collected in our time and attendance software, and it can be exported straight to common payroll systems such as Sagepay.
Another useful function of our time and attendance system is an automated fire roll call. Currently you might be reading names with difficulty from a handwritten sign in sheet, which can be misplaced. With our system you can be hooked up to your fire alarm. When it goes off it will automatically print a list of everyone who is currently clocked into the building.
