Employee clockings system instantly displays shift core-time violations

Union members in Swansea left work two hours before the end of their shift in a protest over proposed cuts. More than 3,000 Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) staff took part in the temporary strike at its headquarters as part of a month of action. They followed a demonstration by Cardiff and Bangor DVLA workers. Union reps say its 3,200 members out of around 5,000 people at DVLA – one of the largest employers in the city – departed early on Friday.
