A Flintshire-based national retailer claims its staff have been given an inflation-beating pay increase. Deeside based firm Iceland Foods was named the sixth best big company to work for in the UK in the annual Sunday Times Best Companies survey of 2011. It announced that its staff will receive a basic pay rise of 5 per cent this year in a total annual cost of the extra wages amounting to £14.6 million.
