Specialist medical equipment supplier to create 50 new jobs


A manufacturer and supplier of specialist equipment for handling and moving patients has revealed plans to create 50 new jobs at its manufacturing sites in Bridgend and Rhyl after securing Welsh Government backing, a local news source can reveal.

Prism Medical UK managed to obtain a £363,000 package that will make it possible for the company to create 21 jobs in Bridgend and 29 in Kinmel Bay, Rhyl, as well as protecting a further 135 positions.

Prism chief executive Stuart Meldrum said: "Prism is on an ambitious growth trajectory and the funding support package from the Welsh Government will hopefully allow us to fulfil our desire to become the first choice provider of equipment for people with a range of disabilities.

"And with operations in both North and South Wales, Prism is also very proud to be generating a range of permanent and sustainable employment opportunities to local communities."
