Fire fighting products supplier to expand after securing business loan

A company that specializes in supplying fire-fighting products has revealed expansion plans after securing a new site following a £350,000 investment supported by Barclays, a recent news report in the local business media has been able to reveal.

Amerex Fire International, founded in 1988, has bought a site at Springvale Industrial Estate following the cash boost. The business has exclusive distribution rights for the Amerex brand of fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems for the UK, Europe and India.

Managing director Steve Evans said: "We continue to evolve and develop the extinguisher side of the business but we see real growth potential with the fire suppression systems.

"We now provide fire suppression systems for commercial kitchens and heavy vehicle plant, which is proving very successful."
