Redundancies are hoped to be kept to a minimum after a total of 79 health care workers have been consulted at a charity-run brain injury unit in Colwyn Bay, Conwy. The Arfon unit will close shortly while its nearby Eithinog home – which offers nursing care for younger residents with disabilities – will continue; but staff at both sites have been consulted. There has been only five residents at the Arfon unit recently, meaning the services at the organisation have been rethought.
